Quarry & Varieties
Located in Fauske, Norway, north of the Arctic Circle, the historic Fauske marble quarry spans an impressive 13.5 acres. Depending on the specific extraction zone, the quarry offers up to 15 distinct varieties of marble, displaying a stunning spectrum of arctic shades and patterns from vibrant pink to deep greys and greens. Standard blocks are available in lengths up to 3.50 m and widths ranging from 1.80 to 2.00 m.

Thanks to exceptional technical properties, all marble types sourced from the Fauske quarry are perfectly suited for both striking interiors and demanding exterior facades in any climate zone. With a magnesium content of approximately 12 %, this dolomitic marble features exceptionally low porosity and water absorption. It offers excellent resistance to frost and salt air, while demonstrating high durability against atmospheric air pollution.
