Each year, the stone industry abounds in events that attract experts from all over the world. One of the most important of such events is the STONE Industry Fair, which for years has served as the main platform for the exchange of knowledge and presentation of new products and technologies in Poland. This year’s edition will as usual take place in November (20-22.11) at the premises of the MTP Poznań Expo.
Exhibitors from many different places, like among others India and Portugal, shall present their offer. We would like to emphasise the presence of stone manufacturers from Turkey. We shall host more than 20 of them in Poznań. It will be an extraordinary opportunity to make important business contacts. It will be easier to make them thanks to the networking zone, which was specially prepared for this event.
The STONE Industry Fair is also an ideal place for natural stone enthusiasts, architects, designers, renovation experts and entrepreneurs from the construction industry to learn more about the latest trends
and technologies related to the processing of this unique material. At the STONE Fair, attendees will find a wide range of various natural stones used in interior and public space design, such as kitchen countertops, stairs, windowsills and decorative elements.
During the Fair, participants will also be able to meet the leading manufacturers and suppliers of natural stones, obtain valuable information on their characteristics and applications and consult professionals on the selection of the right material for a specific project.
COMPETITION AND EXHIBITIONS - KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE
As part of the STONE Industry Fair, the Polish Stonemasonry Association, the fair’s sponsor, will organise the Tournament of Assemblers in its space. The competition will be attended by professionals. This fact guarantees the usefulness of the knowledge shared. The event’s very main goal is to promote the stonemason profession and the use of good industry practices. The tournament itself, apart from sport emotions, is first of all an opportunity to acquire knowledge - the tournament will be accompanied by a zone of practical advice.
Workshops organised during the STONE Industry Fair are a great opportunity to gather knowledge and make business contacts. Live shows allow to develop practical skills and the lectures provide useful hints and information on current trends - Hanna Lisiecka, Head of STONE Industry Fair
PRESERVATION AND RENOVATION
On the second day of this year’s STONE Industry Fair, the next edition of the Congress of the Stone Industry (KBK) will take place, the theme of which is “Renovation of the Old Market”. At this event, the current challenges in the art of preservation and restoration affecting both historic buildings and modern stone constructions will be discussed. The programme will be complemented by a discussion panel, which will create space for participants to exchange views and experiences. Invited guests will debate the challenges the industry itself faces nowadays.
The Congress shall be divided into 3 panels, during which the invited experts shall present how great investments are made - from the moment of creation of a project until its execution. Among our speakers there shall be representatives of companies engaged in works at the Old Market in Poznań, such as Wrimar, Hallindens and Remmers. Moreover, companies offering preservation and renovation tools and agents will present their products, which will enable the participants of the Congress to learn more about the latest technologies and methods used in the industry. During the KBK, the workshops on usage of certain products and methods will be held. The congress will thus be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience among experts from stone and conservation industries.
Panel I - discussion on the condition of the Old Market before the renovation works - what, who, why and what for?
Panel II - discussion on actions and reasons for decisions made by people taking direct part in project’s execution.
Panel III - discussion on general terms referring to the conservation and restoration of stone in technical context.
The patronage over the Stone Industry Fair and the Congress of the Stone Industry, presentations and training of contractors by the example of the Old Market in Poznań was taken by the National Association of Stone
Products Manufacturers.
THAT IS NOT EVERYTHING YET...
An additional element of the substantive programme of STONE 2024 will be a training organised by GAMARSTONE on creation and use of visualisation of projects in stone plants. Participation will be possible after registration. Own laptop is required.
Participants of the Stone Industry Fair will have an opportunity to gather knowledge on practical aspects of managing an enterprise from stonemasonry sector and on methods of providing its compliance with OHS regulations.
There will also be a comprehensive presentation of the customs and statistical audit and the procedure for issuing Binding Tariff Information (BTI) decisions for traders, which will ensure that goods imported from abroad or sent abroad are correctly classified for customs purposes and do not incur an erroneous customs and tax debt.
The programme of events during the Stone Industry Fair is a very important aspect of this year’s edition. We want both exhibitors and participants to benefit as much as possible from participation in the event we organise. Our goal is to engage as many people as possible into science and discussion, as it supports idea exchange and inspires innovation. This type of events builds communities and strengthens relations in the dynamically changing world.
By creating various platforms for presentation and interaction, we ensure benefits for all the parties - emphasises Hanna Lisiecka, Head of STONE Industry Fair.
INSPIRATION AND NETWORKING ZONE
The STONE Industry Fair is organised with all experts working in the stone industry in mind, and this year’s edition of the Fair is focused on a unique approach to education and integration. The organisers plan to prepare three special zones:
- The Preservation and Renovation Zone: it answers questions about the latest techniques of preservation and restoration of stone and allows participants to purchase specialised tools and products.
- The Networking Zone: designed with maximum efficiency in mind, it will enable participants to establish valuable contacts with future business partners. The zone will feature presentations, meetings and conversations between representatives of various segments of the stone industry.
- The Inspiration Zone - the architect’s day: it will show the innovative ways of using stone, especially in interiors. The zone will be an ideal place for anyone looking for new ideas and individual stone solutions. This will happen mostly during the first day of the fair, when presentations and workshops aimed at architects and designers will be held. Details will be available soon on our website.
We want the Stone Industry Fair to become a space for exchange of ideas for all the stone enthusiasts. Thanks to our joint commitment, we can create an event that not only presents the wealth of its uses, but also stimulates creativity and encourages collaboration - says Hanna Lisiecka, Head of Stone Industry Fair.
This year’s edition of the STONE Industry Fair promises itself to be exceptionally interesting, which further proves its position as the most important event in the stone industry in Poland. The Fair’s diverse exhibition area and its rich programme will attract both Polish and foreign guests. Participants will have a unique opportunity to make international contacts.
