The Marmomacc fair, held in Verona, organises every year under the generic name, The Italian Stone Theatre, a series of exhibitions in which designers and companies dealing with natural stone and machinery with the latest technology, all Italian, work together to demonstrate the infinite possibilities of natural stone. In the 2017 edition of the fair, in pavilion 1, three exhibitions were held- “Territory and Design", “Soul of City", and "Macchine Virtuose".
Territory & Design
This exhibition, developed by Vincenzo Pavan and Raffaello Galiotto, demonstrates how, thanks to the new digital technologies of cutting, machining and modelling, natural stone is placed at the same levels as other materials normally used in the world of design. The typical processes of mass production of industrial articles are now also possible with natural stone with the advantage that the aesthetic qualities and unique chromatics which come naturally to stone, are highlighted.
