The Macael Businessmen Provincial Association, last 21 November, awarded the XIX edition of the annual Marmol awards. In the following pages we publish images of the winning projects in different categories.
Award to the architect
Architect: César Portela Fernández-Jardón
Award for project realised in Macael Marble in Spain
Project:
Public Market “Virgen del Rosario” (Cádiz).
Materials:
Grey and White Macael marble.
In its construction, among others, 1350 sqm of tiles, 794 sqm of cladding, counter tops, solid pillars, staircases and pedestals have been used.

Award for project realised in Macael Marble outside Spain
Project:
Office building of the company Sprint Telefónica, in Kansas (USA). It has 50 pillars, 88 colimns of 3 m, 1.500 sqm of pavements of different shapes, 350 m of staircases and more than 2.500 special pieces.

Award for the craftsmanship project
Project: Luxury houses of Dª Teresa García, in Ávila.
Materials: Anasol, Yellow and White Macael, among others.
They have more than 9000 sqm of pavements and claddings for bathrooms. There are columns of 3 m of Salomonic style, balustrades, special chimneys, etc.
