With the natural stone industry undergoing through a severe disruptive phase in its millenium history, the stone companies are beginning to experiment like never before. The processing companies working with granites from Galicia( Spain) are now beginning to show to the world a new aspect of the locally extracted materials, experimenting with new tectures and designs and new applications, which are best described as finished consumer goods. The capacity to elaborate sophisticated and complex pieces in granite remains intact. The stone fair, Stonegal, held in Vigo on 3 to 5 June 2025, for the first time, was the show case for the new face of granites from Galicia.
