With the new year beginning soon businessmen in the industry are starting to make their plans and define objectives. What can one expect in the different markets of the world? An analysis.

As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to find out what Spanish stone professionals' outlook is for next year. We asked companies throughout Spain how they think 2026 will be for their business and received around 50 responses.

On 17 October 2025, the gala ceremony for the StonebyPORTUGAL International Architecture and Design Awards was held, an initiative of ASSIMAGRA, the Portuguese Association of the Mineral Resources Industry, created to celebrate and promote, on a global scale, the excellence of Portuguese natural stone in architecture, public spaces, technological innovation and product design.

With the emergence of new artificial materials in recent years, the marble industry is changing. Marble workers are adapting to the new circumstances and working with natural stone and artificial materials depending on what the customer requests.
