As part of the Marble fair held in Izmir (Turkey), held on dates 25 to 28 August 2021, during the World Stone Summit, the Director of LITOSonline.com and World Natural Stone Association (WONASA), Anil Taneja, gave a digital talk on the topic: "The new dynamics in the stone industry in the age of Covid-19".

In the beginning of the XX century, the architect and urban planner Antonio de Palacios (1874-1945), responsible for many of the emblematic buildings in Madrid, designed the marquee of the subway in Gran Vía, Madrid. Decades later, it was shifted to Galicia, now a replica once again occupies this emblematic area of the capital of Spain.

Technological advances in the stone industry tend to be steady improvements of all kinds instead of being disruptive. This is the case with multiwire machines for processing blocks where the machines of today have superior performances compared the ones a decade ago.
